What I offer
Workshops
I offer workshops twice a year (spring and fall) in the Ashland, Oregon area. The workshops generally take place in a month long series of four weekly classes of 2 1/2 hours each and one class 3 months later to do chart review. I occasionally offer a weekend intensive in the valley as well.
I also travel to teach. I accept requests from those interested in organizing a weekend workshop intensive (9am -2pm Saturday and Sunday) in their community. I frequently offer classes throughout California, Oregon and Washington. I have taught in Texas, Hawaii and New Mexico. I am open to discuss travel possibilities with you if you are interested in organizing and promoting a workshop. Please see schedule page for a list of upcoming classes.
Course Contents: During a Fertility Awareness workshop or series of classes we begin by covering the history of Natural Birth Control methods and their effectiveness. I share with you the reasons behind teaching the method that I do, its specifics, pros and cons. We then briefly discuss the male and female reproductive anatomy and physiology. Quite a bit of time is spent on the female hormonal system. I feel it is imperative that one understands the basics of the hormonal dance before learning the method. From there we delve into the 3 primary signals of fertility that we will be following, cervical fluid, cervical changes and temperature, followed by a brief discussion on the secondary signs of fertility. I then share with you the rules of the method and how to chart. We look at practice charts and discuss variations and exceptions to the norm. Depending on the needs of the class attendees, we might go various directions from here. I may offer a deeper look at hormonal imbalances and how to work with them. We often discuss nutrition options and I refer students to other practitioners when necessary. I suggest tools for conception when desired and how to practice the FAM while breastfeeding.
Workshops are perfect for those wanting to use FAM throughout their reproductive years for self-awareness, empowerment and all the various means it provides. They are especially appropriate for those wanting to practice FAM for birth control. For those seeking specific knowledge on consciously conceiving their child without plans to use FAM for other purposes in the future, the course will provide what you need but a private consult would be more focused on your specific needs and personal situation.
FAM is a life-long tool and requires an initial commitment to learning but once practiced is a simple and quick day to day act. I liken it to the daily commitment of brushing ones teeth. The cost of this class includes charts to start with and also a follow-up class or private consult which will be organized 3 months from the original class. The follow-up is for clients to come with their charts and ask questions that have arisen in the initial months. It is an integral part of the learning process. Attending the follow-up significantly increases the success of the method. All clients are welcome and encouraged to attend any future follow-ups that I offer for other classes.
Please contact me for prices as they are relative to the location I am teaching in.

Webinars
I offer two webinar workshops per year, in the winter and summer. Though taking the workshop in person is optimal, this option is sometimes most practical. The webinars take place via Vyew, an on-line Webinar system. They are spaced out over three classes plus one follow-up session after charting practice has been established. Please see schedule page for current Webinar classes .
Teacher Training
I am thrilled to announce that I have recently launched a teacher training program for women interested in becoming a "Certified Fertility Awareness Educator" (FAE). See the schedule page for the current dates relating to the application period. I will only be accepting 5-6 students the first year, so please connect with me if you would like to be contacted with more information, including enrollment requirements, my resume, welcome letter and application. Please click here if you are interested in viewing the program details.
